Who do you care for?
We are an internal medicine practice dedicated to adults 18 and older, from young adults through seniors. Our physician and nurse practitioners focus on the full range of adult health, from prevention to complex, ongoing conditions.
What is internal medicine?
Internal medicine physicians, or internists, are trained specifically in adult medicine. We look at the whole picture of your health, including how multiple conditions and medications interact, and coordinate with specialists when you need them.
Do you manage chronic conditions?
Yes. It's at the core of what we do. We provide ongoing care for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart and lung conditions, thyroid disorders, and more, with regular follow-ups, lab monitoring, and medication management to keep you stable and well.
What preventive care do you offer?
Annual wellness exams, age-appropriate cancer and health screenings, vaccinations, and a personalized prevention plan. Staying ahead of problems is the best way to stay healthy.
What does team-based care mean for me?
Dr. Markowitz leads a team of experienced nurse practitioners who work together on your care. You get timely access to a provider who knows your history, with physician oversight on your care plan.
Can I be seen the same day if I'm sick?
We set aside time each day for patients who are ill. Call as early in the day as you can and we'll find you a spot.

What should I bring to my first visit?
A photo ID, your insurance card, a list of your current medications and doses, and any recent records or test results from other providers.
Do you coordinate with specialists and hospitals?
Yes. We handle referrals, share records with your specialists, and follow up after hospital stays so your care stays connected in one place.
Which insurance plans do you accept?
We accept Medicare and most major commercial plans (see the list above). If you don't see your plan, call us and we'll check your coverage.
